Logging a new word: LIGHT

Just got a message from Grandma that O said "light" this morning in reference to the light that was on in his room when she was putting him down for a nap.

Adorable and brilliant, yes he is! I'm calling Mensa ... :-)

Manners, what manners?

O is usually such a well-behaved fella when he's eating. He always sits patiently in his high chair and enjoys some Puffs while we fix his dinner. (I'm not kidding - he is quiet and sits with his mouth open like a little baby bird waiting for us to feed him.)

Last night, however, he found it amusing to push his tongue out every time I tried to give him a spoonful of peaches. Then, with his entire mouth full of mixed turkey and rice and peaches (yum), he blew it all over the kitchen - on mommy, on his high chair, on the floor - it was everywhere. Of course, I was hysterical but trying not to laugh. And yes, those are peaches on his forehead!

Over the weekend

Mimi came down and stayed with us since K was going out of town for the weekend. O was holding onto the coffee table and took two steps forward. I'm not sure if it counts or not, but wanted to document it!

O finally said "mama" this morning on the way to work. Then he said it over and over and over again in the backseat. Music to my ears ...

Tooth #3

Came in last night. O has been a little crabby lately, with good reason. The top right tooth is peeking out ...

On Saturday, O showed us his new trick: clapping his hands. He is so adorable. He's also been playing "catch" with mommy and daddy - rolling the baseball on the floor to us and handing it back to us - it is precious.
